Catering manager shortlisted for NACC award

A Care UK catering manager has said he is delighted to have been shortlisted for the Catering Manager of the Year accolade at this year’s NACC Awards.

James Clear directly supports 37 care homes in the southern region and is the culinary lead for 123 Care UK homes across the country.

Owing to his guidance, two Care UK properties, Murrayside and Pear Tree Court, have been shortlisted in the Care Establishment of the Year category.

Murrayside is led by Iain Young and Pear Tree Court by Stuart Passey.

“I am delighted that all three of us have reached the finals,” says Clear. “Our commitment ensures that residents have dignity, choice and great food that not only looks and tastes as one would expect from fine dining, but also has the nutritional content to support individual dietary needs.”

Jon Bicknell, Care UK’s food and services director, added: “We are all very proud of James for making it to the final. His passion and inspiration knows no limits and he works tirelessly to ensure residents receive only the very best food.”

Winners will be announced via a virtual ceremony on Thursday 8th October. Further details on this year’s awards can be found on our website.
