Care Home Open Week set to return

Care Home Open Week 2022 is set to return from 27 June to 3 July.

Care homes will have the chance to build long-lasting relationships with their local communities and promote career opportunities when a national event returns.

Care Home Open Week will return from 27 June to 3 July, with chances to host events either in person or virtually. The week is an opportunity for care homes to show what they have to offer, including facilities and activities. It is also a chance for operators to share news of career opportunities available in the sector.

Chief executive of Precious Homes, Mitesh Dhanak, says: “We are incredibly excited to host Care Home Open Week again this year, we know that community connections are vital for care homes to operate and we hope this will enable them to build long-lasting relationships that support their teams and residents to flourish.”

In many cases, the last two years have strengthened care homes' relationships with their local communities, with many initiatives - often held virtually - put in place to keep residents' spirits up during lengthy lockdowns, including blue light cafés and pen pal schemes.

Operators can now register for the week, giving them access to the Care Home Open Week community Facebook group, templates to help promote your event, graphics and social media tips and a feature on its interactive map.
