Our Care Home Catering Awards 2024 will see five worthy winners crowned at Care Home Catering Forum next summer
Entries are now open for the 2024 Care Home Catering Awards.
After another challenging year for everyone working in the care catering sector, we are seeking to reward those who have shown imagination and dedication when honing and refining their craft in order to produce meals of exceptional distinction for residents, while also inspiring and supporting colleagues to be the best that they can be.
The Care Home Catering Awards 2024 will see five truly worthy winners crowned at the Care Home Catering Forum next summer - and the nominations are now open.
Whether you work with a talented chef whose creativity in the kitchen is inspiring, a kitchen assistant who is determined to make their team’s life easier or a catering team who sets the industry standard, now is the time to nominate.
“From chefs who are innovating when it comes satisfying the needs of residents with specific dietary requirements diets, to teams raising the profile of care catering, we hear about inspiring people in the sector every day,” says Care Home Catering editor, Val Hirst. “The growing sense of pride in care catering is electrifying and we want to ensure that the brilliant work that is being undertaken within the sector is properly recognised and celebrated. These awards offer an opportunity to honour the pioneering work of all of those who are keeping residents happy and healthy, while also challenging the preconceptions about care catering."
The 2023 winners included Majlinda Ndoj of Cooperscroft Care Home who was the Chef of the Year, while the Care Home Catering Team of the Year award was presented to Care UK’s Llys Cyncoed team. The Independent Care Home Caterer of the Year was Hazelwell Care Home, and Country Court UK picked up the award for the Group Care Home of the Year. Last but not least, Mark Meacham, HC-One’s head of catering and housekeeping support services, scooped the Above and Beyond Special award.
