Accolades for Care Horizons’ unique services

The business scooped the “Specialist Care Service of the Year Award”, while its managing director, Vierka Hiscock was named as the “Most innovative Social Care CEO”

As a leading provider of in-home day and 24/7 care and lifestyle management for individuals with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, Care Horizons has enjoyed a fantastic couple of months, scooping two incredible awards in the south west, in recognition of its unique services. The "Specialist Care Service of the Year Award" made a particular impact in light of the care sector’s struggles, as it demonstrates that Care Horizons is continuing to deliver its important work in its local area.

Care Horizons’ managing director and CEO, Vierka Hiscock was also named as the “Most Innovative Social Care CEO” for Gloucestershire. Since taking over the business in 2017, she has propelled it to industry leading status in the south west of England thanks to her pioneering and innovative approach to the care sector.

Hiscock is well known for securing awards, thus proving that her leadership style is successful. When she first joined Care Horizons, she implemented an individualised training plan for each staff member, including QCF qualification training.

Commenting on her award, Hiscock says: “Both the business and I are honoured to have received these accolades. It is a testament to all the hard work we have done over the last few years, and we will continue to provide industry-leading care to people who need it the most and look forward to seeing what we can achieve during the coming year.”

Care Horizons focuses on providing at home care that enables its clients to retain their independence and dignity for longer and prides itself on being unparalleled when it comes to transforming people's lives for the better.
