Middleton Foods breaks ground on site expansion

The development of Middleton Foods’ existing facility in Willenhall will involve a £4m site expansion, adding 780m2 to the factory’s current footprint

A leading manufacturer of foodservice and bakery pre-mixes has begun the development of its existing manufacturing facility in Willenhall, West Midlands, which will invlove a £4 million site expansion, adding 780m2 to Middleton Foods’ current footprint.

Commenting on the site development plans, Glen Middleton,a director at Middleton Foods, says:

“We’re excited to have broken ground on the plans for the expansion of our existing factory site here at Middleton Business Park; something we’ve been planning for over a year. It’s great to see it becoming a reality!

“In the last few years, we’ve enjoyed continued growth and this expansion is a significant part of our investment and underlines our wider goals for the future. It’s a mark of our the commitment to the business, our incredible team and the local community, as we continue to lead the market in dry mix ingredients.

“The new space, which will span four floors, will link to our dedicated allergen control production area and will incorporate a state-of-the-art development kitchen, designed and custom built by Qook! by KFE Ltd.”

The site development has been designed with sustainability in mind, and includes a rainwater harvesting system, solar energy and electric vehicle charging points. It will also house a dedicated presentation suite and photography studio that will provide Middleton Foods with the opportunity to enhance its customer experience amongst partners in the fast food, foodservice, butchery, bakery and food manufacturing sectors. Customers will be able to fully immerse themselves in the Middleton Foods offering and the company will work even more collaboratively to develop new products and solutions.
