Apetito has recently held a day of meal tasting at the Bowbrook Dementia Centre of Excellence.

Designed to invite residents, their family members and staff to test the spring and summer meal ranges, apetito arrived in a food van to prepare the dishes.

Wanting to bring more variation to care home menus, the menu included plant-based shepherd's pie, chicken and butterbean stew with dumplngs, salmon and broccoli bake and barbecue beans with oak-smoked bacon.

The dessert section consisted of a Victoria sponge cake and several chocolate cakes.

 

“We love holding tastings as they’re a such great way to get residents, families and staff invested and interested in the food being served," says Richard Woodward, general manager of apetito’s care home division. "It helps families learn more about the food being served and helps them relax in the knowledge that their loved ones are enjoying nutritious, delicious food."
