Apetito releases its latest ‘Lunch With’ webinar

This latest webinar in apetito’s ‘Lunch With’ series, which features Professor Martin Green OBE, focuses on the future of care

In the recently launched, brand new episode of its ‘Lunch With’ webinar series, apetito seeks to examine the broader challenges currently facing the care sector.

The episode features Clare Hunt from the apetito Care Homes team and Professor Martin Green OBE, CEO of Care England and dementia champion for the Department of Health and Social Care, who discuss the impact and significance of the economic and workforce crisis that care homes are currently facing.The conversation includes suggestions on  how the sector can change its approach to attracting workforce, by focusing on the importance of conditions, health, and wellbeing, and ensuring that workers have the right values and access to training and development.

Viewers will also learn more about Care England’s recently published roadmap entitled ‘Care for our Future’, which examines the future of adult social care and sets out the sector’s priorities across the topics of workforce, funding and integration.

The episode also explores how critical it is for care homes to provide high-quality, nutritious meals to support residents’ health and wellbeing, particularly those with dementia and looks at why meals are often the highlight of residents’ days.
